MARCH BRANDING TIP: CLIENT-PHOTOGRAPHER RELATIONSHIPS

Updated: Mar 16, 2021

Real talk—very few people like getting in front of the camera. Having your photo taken is a vulnerable, and often uncomfortable, process. But the truth is, a photo shoot does not have to be so stressful. There are a ton of strategies you can use to prepare for a session which help to reduce the nervousness you feel when stepping in front of the lens.

What do you wear? What do you bring? How do pose? Where do you shoot?

These are just a few, out of a long list, of the worries that cross clients’ minds. Each month on our blog, we will tackle these frequently asked questions, as well as all your other must-know branding photography tips!

MARCH TIP // PHOTOGRAPHER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

Do your research and connect with your photographer before booking a shoot!

Everyone has different personalities—which is a beautiful thing, but not all personalities necessarily click. This means that it is important to choose a photographer whom you can easily connect with. Take the time to look through photographers’ bios, read reviews, and even schedule some calls to get better acquainted with them. You will know you have found the right photographer when conversation flows easily, you forget—even if just a second—how worried you are for the shoot, and you are excited to connect with the photographer again.
